The Story Behind Every Creation
Signature Bowl
MIAMI BOWL
One of our favorite bowls is inspired by many of our personal travels to Miami, Florida. This Miami-Cuban Bowl reflects the vibrant local food scene derived from the large and impactful Hispanic population in this beloved destination. From their colorful and mesmerizing murals in Wynwood to the vibrant lively Calle 8 in Little Havana. We wanted to bring back a taste of Miami back to San Diego, CA, with this special creation.
Signature Bowl
SPICY MEXICAN BOWL
The founders crafted this creation as a tribute to their cultural heritage, where spice meets health. Inspired by our family’s first brick-and-mortar establishment, which was entirely Mexican and vegan, we aimed to create a dish free of seed oils, using only fresh ingredients. Our focus remains on preserving the essence of Mexican cuisine, with spice as a key element

A Garden Memory

On a sun-drenched ranch, two sisters spent their summers exploring their Grandma’s expansive garden. Fresh figs became their favorite treasure, and those moments of plucking fruit and sharing laughter shaped their love for good food and cherished memories.

The journey into the food business began in our mom’s backyard, where she ran a home-based food venture. In 2016, they launched their first official food business, and by 2018, they opened a brick-and-mortar restaurant with their brother. A pivotal moment came when their mom was diagnosed with cancer, prompting them to embrace a healthier, more plant-based approach.
Through various food ventures, they learned invaluable lessons.
Fast forward to 2024, A lo Fresco was lauched, inspired by family meals and the joy of Grandma’s garden. Alongside their seasonal Fig Bruschetta—featuring creamy plant-based cream cheese, fresh sliced figs, a drizzle of agave, and a sprinkle of thyme, this vegan delight promises not to disappoint!

As they serve from their food truck, meantime their restaurant opens up they hope to inspire others to connect with their own stories through food. It’s not just about the dishes; it’s about celebrating memories, sharing flavors, and building a community—one fig at a time
